Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Aurora Studios (“Aurora Studios”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our website or get in touch with us. We keep the data we collect to a minimum and never sell it.
We are based in Kathmandu, Nepal, and we handle personal data in line with Nepal’s Individual Privacy Act, 2075 (2018) and the Privacy Regulation, 2077 (2020). Where visitors reach us from other countries, we aim to follow widely accepted privacy principles such as those in the GDPR.
01Who we are
Aurora Studios is a design and engineering studio operating from Kathmandu, Nepal. For any privacy questions, the contact details are at the end of this policy.
02Information we collect
We only collect information that you choose to give us or that is needed to run the website:
- Contact form details: when you send an inquiry, we collect your name, email address, and the message you write.
- Booking details: if you schedule a call, our scheduling provider (Cal.com) collects your name, email, chosen time, and any notes you add.
- Usage information: we look at aggregate, non-identifying statistics such as how many people visited a page. We do not build profiles of individual visitors from this.
- Technical data: like most websites, our hosting provider may briefly process standard technical information (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and secure the site.
03How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- reply to your inquiry and discuss a potential project;
- schedule and hold calls you book with us;
- understand, at a high level, how the site is used so we can improve it;
- keep the website secure and working as intended; and
- meet any legal or record-keeping obligations.
We do not use your details for unrelated marketing without your consent, and we do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
04Legal basis for processing
Under Nepal’s Individual Privacy Act, 2075 and comparable laws, we rely on the following bases: your consent (for example, when you submit the contact form or book a call); our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries and operating the website securely; and, where relevant, compliance with legal obligations.
You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, though this will not affect processing already carried out.
05Third-party services we use
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run the website. They process data on our behalf and only for the purposes described here:
- Cloudflare website hosting, security, and storage of contact submissions in our database. Some processing may occur on servers outside Nepal.
- Resend delivery of contact-form inquiries to our inbox by email.
- Cal.com scheduling and managing calls you book with us.
Each provider operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them if you would like more detail on how they handle data.
06How we share information
We share personal data only when necessary: with the service providers listed above so they can perform their function; if required by law, court order, or a lawful request from a competent authority; or to protect our rights, safety, or property. We do not share your information for any other purpose.
07Data retention
We keep contact and booking information only as long as needed to respond to you and, where it leads to work, for the duration of our business relationship plus any period required for legal or accounting reasons. Aggregate usage statistics are not tied to you and may be kept indefinitely. You may ask us to delete your information at any time (see “Your rights”).
08Cookies
Our website is built to use as few cookies as possible. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Any cookies present are strictly necessary for the site to function or are used only to count visits in an aggregate, non-identifying way. You can control or clear cookies through your browser settings at any time.
09Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate; ask us to delete it; object to or restrict certain processing; and withdraw consent you have given.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@aurorastudios.dev. We will respond within a reasonable time and in line with our legal obligations.
10Data security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures including reputable hosting, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and limited access to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to address any issues promptly.
11International visitors
We operate from Nepal, and some of our providers process data on servers located in other countries. By using the website or contacting us, you understand that your information may be processed outside your country of residence under the safeguards described in this policy.
12Children’s privacy
Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
13Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be made clear on this page.
